Items can be priced three different ways; this can be very confusing to users. We have broken down the different options to better inform you when placing orders.

Catch Weight/Priced per Pound

Some items at DOT are sold as a per pound price and the customer is billed in cases. If an item is priced by the pound but sold by the case, we’ll do the math for you, so you can easily understand what you’re likely to pay. Dot will multiply the per-pound price from the bracket you’re most likely to use by the product’s net weight.

Case cost is calculated by multiplying the total weight by the net per/lb cost and dividing that total by the number of cases.

You can see if an item is catch weight on the search results page:

As well as the product detail page:

Priced on Date Ordered

The customer will pay the price the item was on the day it was ordered, no matter what the delivery date is.

You are only able to view this status on the product detail page:

Priced on Date of Delivery

The customer will pay the price the item is on the day it is delivered, no matter what the order date is.

This status is also only available on the product detail page:
